ThemBones-SizedRoyal Machines played two sold out shows at the infamous Roxy theater on Sunset Strip to mark the end of their first year together. As drummer Josh Freese was unavailable, the band chose to enlist the talents of Erik Eldenius (Billy Idol), Dean Butterworth (Good Charlotte), Adrian Young (No Doubt), Tommy Clufetos (Black Sabbath) and John Tempesta (The Cult) to help beat the skins over the two nights. The second night was packed with great moments and special suprises. Mark McGrath killed it on the Megadeth track ‘Peace Sells’, Andy Beirsack, fresh from the Black Veil Brides world tour rocked the Billy Idol classic ‘Rebel Yell’, Fred Durst got the whole place jumping with his version of ‘Sweet Emotion’, and Slipknott’s Corey Taylor made sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house with the Bon Jovi anthem ‘Wanted Dead Or Alive’ – and the special surprise of the night was ZZ Top Frontman Billy Gibbons showing up straight from LAX to rock his own ‘Sharp Dressed Man’.
